Gains & Losses
So, last month on Groundhog Day my Grandma turned 100. 100! I, along with the majority of that side of the family, were out in California to celebrate. It was incredible! She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Beautiful to behold. Even in her failing health you could palpably feel her enjoyment.
Then, exactly one month later, she passed away. I, along with other family members, believe(d) that she hung on for her 100th. And I don't blame her one bit. What a milestone! One hundred damn years! Can you imagine the changes she'd seen?! I will miss her lively spirit, her candor, her dry humor & her zest for life.
Here's to you, Grandma! I love you!
